We landed in Paris on a cool August morning, sleepy but buzzing with excitement. Our first stop was Hôtel La Maison Champs Elysées, a beautiful, quiet boutique hotel just a short walk from the Seine and Eiffel Tower.

Some Paris highlights:

• Crazy Horse Cabaret – A sexy, fun night out that was stylish and surprisingly artistic. Highly recommend if you want something different than the usual tourist spots.
  
  
• The Louvre + Notre Dame – We crammed a lot into one day, but it was worth every step. Seeing the Mona Lisa and walking along the Seine felt like being in a movie.
  
  
• Dinner Cruise on the Seine – Floating past the Eiffel Tower, glass of wine in hand, live music playing… it was so romantic.

Stop 2: Athens – Where History Comes to Life

From Paris, we flew to Athens and checked into the chic Academias Hotel. It had a rooftop bar with a perfect view of the Acropolis, and the staff made us feel right at home.

• Exploring the Ancient Ruins – Seeing the Parthenon up close gave us goosebumps. It’s wild to think how old it all is.

Positano might be the most romantic place we’ve ever been. Colorful cliffside buildings, winding staircases, lemon trees everywhere. We stayed at a lovely Airbnb on Viale Pasitea, and waking up to those views every morning was surreal.

Best parts:

• Day Trip to Pompeii – Mind-blowing and very humbling.
  
  
• Path of the Gods Hike – Not easy, but worth every step. The views made us feel like we were in a fairytale.
  
  
• Beach Days at Arienzo & La Scogliera – Long lunches, Aperol spritzes, naps in the sun.
  
  
• Dinner at La Tagliata & Da Vincenzo – Both were out-of-this-world delicious. Farm-fresh food, family-owned hospitality, and unforgettable views.
  
  

We also squeezed in a boat day around Capri, a cooking class at a farmhouse, and even rented a scooter to explore Positano like locals. Every single day felt full but never rushed—a perfect balance.

• Mix cities and islands – Start with the energy of places like Paris or Athens, then wind down in places like Santorini or Positano.
  
  
• Don’t overschedule – Build in downtime for wandering, napping, or grabbing spontaneous gelato (those are usually the best moments).
